Watering the Seeds of Faith Part 1

Don’t dig up in doubt what you planted in faith. –Elisabeth Elliot Ways that you could be digging up your seeds of faith are through your words, through worry, through focusing more on the circumstance than on the promises of God. God’s promises cover all areas of our lives when we water the seeds of faith. Through our faith, we are releasing God’s promises onto our circumstance, therefore reversing the affects that the circumstance is trying to cause.

And Jesus answered them, “Truly, I say to you, if you have faith and do not doubt, you will not only do what has been done to the fig tree, but even if you say to this mountain, ‘Be taken up and thrown into the sea,’ it will happen. And whatever you ask in prayer, you will receive, if you have faith.” -Matthew 21:21-22

Ways that you could be digging up your seeds of faith are through your words, through worry, through focusing more on the circumstance than on the promises of God.  God’s promises cover all areas of our lives when we water the seeds of faith.  Through our faith, we are releasing God’s promises onto our circumstance, therefore reversing the affects that the circumstance is trying to cause.

We may get attacked, but no weapon that is formed against us can prosper (Isaiah 54:17) when we armor up in faith. Faith doesn’t tremble.  Faith doesn’t move.  Faith continues to work even when we don’t.  It is a force that overtakes even the most impossible circumstances.

Plant seeds of faith and water it with the Word of God! Faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God (Romans 10:17). Don’t plant seeds of doubt and water it with your mouth cause soon you will look back and all you have is a tree of doubt and unbelief. A fruitless dead tree unable to bring forth the fruitful promises of God.
