Intellect- The ability to learn and reason; the capacity for knowledge and understanding.
This term intellect alone talks solely about head knowledge. But when we add Spiritual to the word intellect we are talking about the ability to learn and reason by our spirit. It is hard for some people to understand that they are a spirit from the beginning and for eternity, so this spirit being, who we really are, is capable of learning in a completely different way, a heavenly way.
When we read the scriptures using our spiritual intellect instead of our soul intellect, we are empowered by the wisdom of God and filled with His truth, knowledge and understanding.
Part 1- Power of Word
In this first part of the “Spiritual Intellect” series we talk about how God created the heavens and the earth through His power of word and faith. We have this same power of word today. Gifted to us through the blood of Jesus. God breathed Himself, His spirit, His DNA, everything that He is into Adam, Jesus and us as believers. So when we speak, God speaks. Every time we speak, we create, just as God did from the beginning.
Scripture Reference: Heb. 11:1-3, Gen. 1:1-4, Gen. 2:7
Part 2- Life Giving Word
The power within the Word of God brings life to our spirit. When we read and meditate on the word, our spirit-man learns and then grows in strength and stature. As our spirit strengthens, our soul becomes somewhat muted, or under submission to our spirit and we become more Christ like everyday.
Scripture Reference: Heb. 11:1-3, Rom. 10:17
Part 3- Faith
You have to read the word and hear the word to understand the word and believe the word. Then your faith will grow and you will gain strength in the spirit and become closer and closer in relationship with the father.
Scripture Reference: Romans 10:17
Part 4- Prophecy Manifested
If God has given you a vision or a dream, hold onto that word, speak it, believe it, call it forth in the name of Jesus and it will come to pass. We are seeing things that God told us years ago, things that we kept believing and holding on to, finally now coming to pass. Glory to God!
Scripture Reference: Romans 10:17-18
